We're looking for an aspiring journalist to work as part of the award-winning and expanding editorial team in our central London offices. We want to hear from you if you are in your first journalism job and looking for greater experience, or simply a creative person looking to get a start in digital media.

We want someone who can come up with ideas using analytics and social media trends, write great unique and engaging stories, and produce and refresh written, video and visual content. Ideally you will have some experience of IT- or business journalism, and an interest in covering the UK's vibrant and ever-changing tech scene. But primarily we want talent, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and share ideas. If you want to make an impact writing about startups and enterprises from AirBnB to Google, this is the role for you.

We need someone with excellent writing skills and a passion for social media. An enthusiastic communicator and team player with some experience of creating great content for an audience. If you are someone who has great ideas and is keen on international travel, we'd love to hear from you.

Front End Web Developer

We are a leading media company looking for talented junior front-end developer. You will work as part of a small development team across some of the UK's top technology and business websites. Your work will have a real impact on websites used by millions of people every day, and over time you will be given the opportunity to develop projects from scratch with direct contribution to their brief.

You will be working on responsive websites, so knowledge of how to work on these is required – including JavaScript, CSS and SCSS. Basic backend coding skills will be required.

You should be able to:

  • Take a PSD of a design and convert to html and implement.
  • Implement some desired functionality on a site and have good ideas about how to blend it into the existing site.
  • Think about responsive implications of any given solution (mobile,tablet,desktop)
  • Implement using best practices for html5, SEO and bear in mind choices that may affect performance.
  • Understand the business decisions behind what you are coding and factor them into what you build.
  • Work effectively with the team and those from other teams (UX, editorial and marketing).

You should have strong knowledge of:

  • Javascript (core syntax and best practice) and libs (Jquery, Require, Backbone, Ajax)
  • HTML5

You should have:

  • A relevant university degree from good university
  • The ability to adapt and learn new technologies on the job
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved
