NGDC is scheduled to debut August 6-9, 2007 at the Moscone Convention Center, San Francisco, CA. The event focuses on new technologies and their impact on the data center, covering mission-critical applications and the technology supporting those applications including storage, servers, networking and communications.

"Infrastructure is a key topic again as it becomes increasingly clear that the technologies, from SOA to Web 2.0, as well as new capabilities, such as virtualization, for existing technologies are both driving necessary change as well as highly desirable new functionality," said Andy Mulholland, Global Chief Technology Office, Capgemini. "We talk about the data center of the future as a term but we need to know more, and this event comes at the right time to help."

"Today's IT professionals face many challenges as they architect IT infrastructures to support the dynamic and changing needs of business. As an organization dedicated to working throughout the industry to accelerate adoption of grid and next generation distributed computing technologies, the Open Grid Forum is pleased to be participating in the NGDC event," said Mark Linesch, President, Open Grid Forum and NGDC Advisory Board Member. "We believe grids, along with related technologies such as virtualization, automation and service orientation are poised to deliver a more flexible and cost-effective IT infrastructure and are excited to play a role in raising worldwide awareness of enterprise grid requirements, best practices and standards adoption."
