American Banker and Financial Insights Now Accepting Submissions for Annual FinTech 100 Rankings ; Annual rankings highlight top financial services technology and services providers

NEW YORK & FRAMINGHAM, MA – June 18, 2008 – American Banker, SourceMedia’s flagship publication for banking and financial services professionals, and Financial Insights, an independent research services firm and an IDC Company, announced today that submissions are now being accepted for consideration for the annual FinTech 100 rankings. 2008 represents the fifth year that the two organizations have formally recognized the leading 100 global technology and service providers to the financial services industry.

The rankings will be published in the Nov. 13, 2008 issue of American Banker as a special report that will contain detailed statistics on suppliers of hardware, software and services to the financial services industry, paired with expert analysis and commentary on the industry. Companies wishing to be considered for the ranking can access the submission guidelines online at: www.financial-insights.com/fintech. The deadline for submission is July 16, 2008.

“The annual FinTech 100 issue has grown into a critically important source of company information and industry insight for American Banker and our readership, as the rankings effectively centralize a great deal of business intelligence into a format this is unavailable anywhere else,” said David Longobardi, American Banker’s editor-in-chief.

“The FinTech 100 rankings have proven effective as a barometer for the overall health and direction of the financial services vendor and service provider community,” said Jeanne Capachin, research vice president of global banking and insurance for Financial Insights. “We are particularly interested in this year’s ranking as we will now have five-year-trend data to pull from and analyze. Economic forces have impacted the FinTech marketplace over the last 5 years with continued consolidation in the industry. We look forward to reviewing those data points and other subsequent changes within the industry as part of the annual FinTech 100.”

The FinTech 100 rankings will be categorized and evaluated by the company’s primary business (hardware, software, services) in serving the technology needs of financial institutions including all worldwide revenue attributed to each financial services segments, e.g., banking, insurance and capital markets for CY 2007; and the percent of revenues derived specifically from financial services. Detail will also be provided for companies regarding year-over-year change in rankings. The final rankings will be based on total revenues and total percentage within the financial industry.

The rankings continue to be based on quantifiable, verifiable data, public information and personal interviews conducted by Financial Insights to ensure the accuracy of the information.

As in previous years, a formal event will be hosted in conjunction with the annual BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo (Nov. 18-20 in Orlando, Fla.) to honor this year’s ranked companies.
