Call for Nominations Now Open for Computerworld’s “Best Practices in Green IT” Awards Program
FRAMINGHAM, MA — JUNE 26, 2008 — Computerworld's Green IT Symposium is seeking IT user-organization case study submissions for its inaugural "Best Practices Green IT" Awards Program. Computerworld's Green IT Symposium Awards Program identifies and acknowledges excellence among early adopters and industry leaders in the green movement.
The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, August 1, 2008 and can be made at: http://bestpractices.computerworld.com/2008/GreenIT/.
Eligible nominees are exclusively IT end-user organizations. Nominations of IT end-user organizations are accepted from IT users themselves, their public relations representatives, or vendors on behalf of their IT end-user customers. Multiple submissions of case studies describing different deployments per IT end-user/organization will be considered.
Five Finalists will be chosen in each category and honored at Computerworld's Green IT Symposium, to be held September 17-18, 2008, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, DC. Award Honorees will be recognized on the event website (www.greenitsymposium.com), in an event press release, and may be featured in a special Computerworld supplement.
Honorees and Finalists will be recognized in each of the following five categories:
— Best Practices in Energy Efficient Computing
— Green IT in the Data Center
— IT Leadership in Embracing Change with Green IT: Corporate
— Reducing IT Complexity Increases Green IT
— ROI in Green Computing
All approved IT end-users nominated will be eligible and invited to attend Green IT Symposium, September 18, 2008, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, DC with a complimentary registration.
