Call For Papers Issued For SaaScon 2007

FRAMINGHAM, MA – NOVEMBER 29, 2006 – IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets, today announced that the Call For Papers for the only all inclusive software as a service conference is now open. The deadline to submit topics is December 29, 2006 and abstracts can be submitted at . The 2nd annual SaaScon event is scheduled to take place April 17-18, 2007 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.

SaaScon is the industry's only independent educational and networking event providing real-world case studies and strategies for the entire SaaS community. Attendees consider SaaScon as the gathering place for the SaaS marketplace, and the only venue that provides a practical snapshot of how to accomplish SaaS objectives now while offering the opportunity to see what's around the corner.

"Part of the success that we experienced at our inaugural event in September was due to the quality of our presenters and the relevance of the content they produced," said Patty Caron, vice president, SaaScon. "We look forward to once again leading the SaaS industry with the quantity and quality of presentations from professionals that have already implemented software as a service and can once again share their real-world experiences with our attendees."

Industry professionals are invited to submit abstracts focusing on CRM, HR, ERP, Billing, Collaboration and Business Intelligence, as well as topics focusing on the larger issues of:

— Business services and SaaS

— How to pick a vendor and measure SaaS success

— What applications should go SaaS?

— Understanding the pay-as-you-go model

— Components as a Service: SaaS and the web services marketplace

— Platforms and ecosystems: vendor lock-in or open marketplace?

— Which vendors will succeed at SaaS?

— Overcoming the customization and integration hurdle

— Understanding the intersection of SaaS, SOA, Web 2.0, Enterprise 2.0 and Office 2.0

SaaScon is designed for business and technical professionals seeking to learn about the latest offerings from providers and how they can incorporate SaaS offerings into their business environments. The conference will also offer real-world examples of SaaS implementations across a broad spectrum of industries.
