Christine Richards Joins IDC’s Energy Insights Company
FRAMINGHAM, MA – OCTOBER 26, 2005 – H. Christine Richards has joined Energy Insights, an IDC Company, as Research Analyst. In her new role, Ms. Richards will provide research-based advisory and consulting services that will enable executives from energy companies to maximize the business value of their technology investments and drive technology-enabled business innovation. Ms. Richards' services will also enable vendors who serve the energy industry to understand market size and industry dynamics.
Specifically, Ms. Richards will play a key role in developing and managing the company's oil and gas and utility industry IT spending guides and various benchmarking and metrics studies. "Christine brings a solid track record of providing compelling research and analysis that will enable our clients to make more informed technology decisions," said Rick Nicholson, vice president of Research, Energy Insights.
Previously, Ms. Richards served as a consultant to the Colorado Association for Manufacturing and Technology, where she developed a study to measure how job gains or losses by individual manufacturers impact the broader community. She also consulted for a town board in New York where she researched and presented economic and geographic data to the planning committee.
Ms. Richards is a recent graduate from the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning at Cornell University, where she obtained her Master in Regional Planning degree. She also has a B.S. in Landscape Horticulture from Colorado State University.
