DEMO Conference Announces One Million Dollar Media Prize for DEMOfall 09; Two product launches at the September conference–as selected by a panel of industry leaders–to receive extensive advertising exposure across IDG brands

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – July 2, 2009 – The DEMO conference, the world-renowned launch platform for some of the most notable emerging technologies introduced over the past two decades, today announced an unprecedented new multimedia advertising package, valued at one million dollars, to be awarded to the top enterprise and consumer technologies presenting at DEMOfall this coming September.

The multi-faceted media package will consist of a six-month advertising campaign promoting the launch of the selected innovations across the most relevant IDG brands including CIO magazine, Computerworld, InfoWorld, Network World, PC World and The Industry Standard, among others, as well as the DEMO and VentureBeat Web sites. Each campaign will utilize numerous promotional vehicles over the course of six months including print advertisements, Web banner placements, text link promotions, email newsletter promotions, video ads, etc. The goal of all promotions placed via these brands is to drive viewers to the winning companies' demonstrator video, corporate profile and funding information. The package includes the development of the creative content that is to be featured on IDG media properties – another huge value proposition to the winning companies. The campaign would extend from October 2009 through March 2010.

A panel of industry luminaries from the DEMO ecosystem – venture investors, corporate development officers, proven entrepreneurs, technology reporters and bloggers – will evaluate each demonstrator's onstage launch and overall value proposition in order to determine the two winners. Announcements will be made at the close of the conference.

"When a company utilizes DEMO as their exclusive product launchpad, they automatically share in more than a billion media impressions generated by the massive amounts of press coverage that occurs in the days and weeks surrounding the conference. Now, via our new million dollar media prize, two well deserving demonstrators will exponentially expand their visibility to potential customers through the phenomenal reach of IDG," said Neal Silverman, Executive Vice President of DEMO. "No other launch platform comes close to this type of offer. We are thrilled to offer even more exposure to our demonstrators through the power of DEMO's sister brands around the world."

Deadline to apply for the launch or AlphaPitch programs at DEMOfall is July 30. Companies interested in participating in DEMOfall should visit[] to get application information. DEMOfall will take place September 21-23 in San Diego, CA, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. Register to attend at[].
