DEMO Conference Announces Updates for DEMO Spring 2010; January Demonstrator Deadline Approaching, DEMO Spring 2010 Million Dollar Media Package and Date for DEMO Fall 2010
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – January 5, 2010 – The DEMO Conference, the world-renowned launch platform for some of the most notable emerging technologies introduced over the past two decades, is entering 2010 with vigor. Today DEMO is pleased to announce that once again a $1 million IDG media prize will be offered at DEMO Spring – this time going to the single demonstrating company that has been identified by attendees as winner of the coveted People's Choice award. The DEMO Spring event will take place March 21-23, 2010, in Palm Desert, Calif. and feature seven themes which include Social and Media, Health and Life Science, Clean and Sustaining Technologies, Cloud, Enterprise, Mobile and Consumer. The deadline for potential demonstrators to submit an application is January 18, 2010.
DEMO Conferences offer two levels of launch platforms for various types of companies looking to introduce new technology products and concepts, all of which are vetted and invited to participate on the DEMO stage. For companies that are further along in the product stage, most opt for the full 6-minute opportunity to present to an audience of corporate business developers, venture capitalists and press. For companies that are not ready to launch fully-developed products and have received no more than $500,000 in funding, presenting as an AlphaPitch company in a 90-second format is an appropriate choice. However, DEMO isn't just about the live stage-presentation it's an event that delivers powerful networking and business building opportunities. The benefit of a DEMO launch goes well beyond the event itself. Each launch video will be promoted to millions of real customers through the reach of IDG media properties such as CIO, CSO, Computerworld, GamePro, Infoworld/TechWorld/TechChannel, ITworld, Macworld, Network World and PC World.
In addition, DEMO has secured official dates and location for DEMO Fall 2010 in an exciting move to the Bay Area. Playing host to the conference this fall will be Silicon Valley's Hyatt Regency, September 13-15, 2010.
"We couldn't be happier about taking DEMO to the home of so many of our alumni and friends for DEMO Fall 2010," said Senior Vice President and DEMO General Manager Neal Silverman. "We feel the Palm Springs and Silicon Valley rotation is one that will make DEMO even more accessible to so many of our constituents. With the new state-of-the-art conference facility at the Hyatt Regency and its proximity to Sand Hill, it couldn't be a more perfect location."
The DEMO team has been travelling the country visiting technology hubs all over the U.S. from San Francisco to New York and everywhere in between and are excited to be adding many new and interesting companies to the roster for DEMO Spring.
