E for All Offers Ultimate Entertainment Experience for Video Game Fans

FRAMINGHAM, MA. – October 3, 2007 – With the event just days away, IDG World Expo today provided a preview of what video game fans of all ages can anticipate at the inaugural Entertainment for All™ Expo (E for All™) ( www.EforAllExpo.com ), scheduled to take place October 18-21 at the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). The event will include the newest and hottest games and gadgets from leading interactive entertainment companies, “People’s Choice” voting, game fan events and lounges, competitive gaming tournaments and more — making E for All the ultimate entertainment experience for anyone who enjoys playing video games.

“E for All truly is all about the games and those that play them, and we look forward to providing an energetic and memorable experience for all members of the interactive entertainment community,” said Mary Dolaher, CEO, IDG World Expo. “In a matter of days, thousands of consumers will descend upon the Los Angeles Convention Center to test-drive the latest and hottest video games available for the holiday season and beyond. Whether you’re a hardcore or casual gamer, a game industry professional, or just someone who wants to see what interactive entertainment is all about, E for All offers something for everyone with a passion for video games.”

In recent weeks, E for All organizers have announced several events slated to take place at the show. E for All attendees can check out the Major League Gaming competitive “mini-tournaments.” They also can enjoy the sounds of the Video Games Live concert, and take in world-class gaming art on display in the “Into the Pixel” gallery. Those who want to “get in the game” business can attend GDC’s Game Careers Seminar, or see if theirs is the next big video game during the “Pitch Your Game Idea” contest.

Additional show events and features that attendees will be able to experience include:

* E for All People’s Choice Voting: Beyond test-driving games and consoles, the E for All People’s Choice voting lets attendees vote for their show favorites. Throughout the event, game fans can text their votes via their cell phones for products in a variety of categories, such as best racing game, best action game, best sports game, and many others. Winners will be announced the last day of the show and on the E for All Web site.

* Games, Gadgets and More Games: At E for All, consumers will be able to explore more than 70 exhibits, including booths from leading entertainment companies such as Nintendo, Electronic Arts, Konami, THQ, Namco and 2K Games. The event will provide attendees with the opportunity to test drive the latest and greatest video games — from highly anticipated releases to hidden gems. Exhibits will also feature the very latest in game gadgets and gear — everything a gamer needs to enhance his or her game-playing experience. Gamers will also be able to buy some of the hot titles they’ve tried out at E for All on the spot.

* Game Stages and Gamer’s Lounge: E for All represents an unparalleled opportunity for attendees to show off their gaming skills and meet other gamers. Two E for All Game Stages will alternate offering attendees sneak peeks at upcoming releases and opportunities to compete head-to-head with other game fans. Some of the year’s most anticipated titles – and some fan favorites – will be showcased on these high-profile stages. In addition, gamers needing to take a break from the show floor can relax and meet up with other attendees in the E for All Gamer Lounge.

* CosPlay Costume Contest: For game fans looking to get into spirit of the festivities, organizers are inviting attendees to dress as their favorite game characters as part of the E for All CosPlay costume contest. On Thursday, Oct. 18 from 2 – 2:45 p.m., attendees can enter the contest in the South Hall lobby of the LACC, for a chance to win a variety of prizes. A panel of celebrity character judges will select the winners, who will then lead the crowd in the official opening of the show floor to the general public.
