Marc's most recent industry experience at Eastern Bank, the largest independent, mutually owned bank in New England, was as the Vice President of Administrative Systems and eSolutions. Marc has experience in multi-factor authentication for a variety of online banking products and services, including electronic banking and bill pay through PDA’s and other mobile devices. As an industry veteran, Marc provides extensive information technology expertise to assist clients with all facets of web based technologies for online strategies within financial institutions including home based banking, bill payment, check imaging, cash management services for corporate and legacy system data transformation. Marc's recent research involves desktop virtualization, core banking, and ATM strategies.

Karen Massey returns to Financial Insights as a senior research analyst for Consumer Banking and Credit assisting Marc and the entire banking team. Karen's industry experience as a consultant at Demos Solutions and roles within Liberty Mutual included retail banking system implementations, branch capacity planning and operations workflow, post-merger analysis for integration strategy definition, and process improvements utilizing six-sigma discipline. Karen's recent work includes core banking renewal and transformation strategies.

Patricia McGinnis joins the firm as research director within the Corporate Banking practice. Patricia has extensive financial services experience both as a practitioner and market researcher. As a banker, Patricia built and managed client portfolios in the US and across Europe and provided project management for trade finance accounting systems. Her research and consulting career has evolved both within business and academic environments including technology expertise in payments systems, core banking, credit and e-commerce strategies. Patricia's recent work surrounds the "Greening" of one's financial house as well as effective management and analysis of unstructured data within the industry.

Trevor LaFleche has joined the European Banking team and covers all corporate and wholesale-oriented financial products and their underlying technology solutions within Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. With over 12 year's experience in the financial services and the technology industry in Belgium, Canada, and the U.K., LaFleche's expertise ranges from capital markets messaging to core systems transformation, as well as treasury systems and trade services impacting banks in Europe today. Prior to joining Financial Insights, LaFleche was EMEA product marketing director for SunGard Data Systems, and held key product marketing and strategy roles with leading core banking vendors Misys and Temenos as well as other industry players after starting his career with communications/transactions network provider S.W.I.F.T.

Batara Siagian joins the Asia/Pacific team as a research manager responsible for analyzing the role of technology and operations in the financial services industry. This broad mandate covers all implementations of hardware, software and related services in banks, insurance companies, and equities firms. Batara focuses on the insurance sector where he also covers analysis and interpretation of IT spending trends in the Asia/Pacific region, as well as understanding other structural changes in the Asia/Pacific financial services markets. Batara has held several positions with Telstra and HP in the fields of consulting, business development, and market research.

Angeline Lee also recently joined the Asia/Pacific team and is based in Hong Kong as a market analyst conducting independent research and consulting for the Asia/Pacific Banking, Capital Markets and IT Benchmarking practices.
