GamePro Magazine Announces Strategic Management Promotions; Industry-Leading Multiplatform Video Gaming Magazine Appoints Key Sales and Marketing Positions
OAKLAND, CA – MAY 16, 2002 – IDG Games Media Group, the world's largest interactive entertainment information provider for multiplatform gaming enthusiasts and publisher of GamePro magazine, the world's largest multiplatform gaming magazine, and GamePro.com, the world's premier online source for gaming, today announced key appointments to the company's sales and marketing departments.
Effective today, Greg Fox has been promoted to National Ad Sales Director of GamePro magazine and GamePro.com. In his previous position as Southwest Sales Manager for GamePro, Greg achieved record-breaking sales revenue and growth in his territory. In his new position, he will be responsible for managing the sales team, driving revenue and building strategic partnerships for the GamePro brand. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Entrepreneurship from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass.
Additionally, Chris Kobran has been promoted to Eastern Ad Sales Director of GamePro magazine and GamePro.com. Chris has been with the company for three years and previously was the East Coast Sales Manager for GamePro, responsible for driving advertising revenue through key East Coast accounts. Based in New York City, Chris will manage the entire East Coast advertising territory and further cultivate new business opportunities in both the electronic gaming and consumer products areas. Chris has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from DePaul University, and a Masters of Business Administration in International Management from The Monterey Institute of International Studies.
Sherry Pedrin has been promoted to lead the marketing department in her position as Marketing Manager. She joined GamePro over three years ago as a Marketing Specialist. Sherry has made significant contributions to the marketing initiatives and strategies at the company, encompassing the areas of sales support, promotions, public relations, research and tradeshow functions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
