Maruyama is an industry veteran who most recently worked as West Coast Editor for Ziff Davis's Video Games Group with responsibility for bridging content between their print, online, and television properties. In addition, he served as editor in chief of Official PlayStation Magazine, as international editor with Ziff Davis's Video Games Group, and held a number of positions at Tips & Tricks magazine in Los Angeles, California. He is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, with a degree in Japanese. "As a hardcore gamer and early adopter of new platforms, I'm very eager to utilize my experience to leverage the untapped resources of the Internet and to take GameProWorld to the #1 spot in our market," said Maruyama. "My primary focus will be to strategically expand GameProWorld's quality content to fuel its growing popularity amongst young, opinion-leading teens."
