HP, Wacom to Exhibit at Macworld Boston in Apple Specialist Pavilion

FRAMINGHAM, MA – JUNE 23, 2004 – IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets, and the Apple Specialist Marketing Co-op (ASMC), an organization of Apple Specialist dealers formed to increase brand awareness of the Apple Specialist channel, today announced that HP and Wacom have signed up to exhibit at Macworld Conference & Expo® in Boston as part of the Apple Specialist Pavilion. Sponsored by the ASMC, this pavilion will showcase products from a variety of leading industry vendors.

The Apple Specialist Pavilion will be located in Booth #302 on the exhibit floor at Macworld Conference & Expo, which will take place July 12-15, 2004 at the new Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). The Macworld exhibit floor will open on Tuesday, July 13.

HP and Wacom are the first companies to be announced as exhibitors in the Apple Specialist Pavilion at Macworld Boston, which will feature vendors who distribute their products through the network of independently-owned Apple Specialists nationwide.

“HP is proud to be a sponsor of the ASMC booth at Macworld,” said Hugh Amick, vice president, HP Mac-connect program. “We will be demonstrating our latest exciting, HP Mac-connect solutions for graphics, education and business and highlighting our strong ongoing relationship with the ASMC.”

HP and Wacom will join many other industry-leading companies showcasing Mac-based products at Macworld Boston, such as Quark, Sophos, Harman Multimedia and Guitar Center. The exhibit floor at Macworld Boston will also feature an extensive line-up of educational sessions, interactive exhibits and community-themed events, which run throughout the event and are open to all attendees. These include:

• The “Geeks & Gadgets” presentations, a series of sessions featuring real-world Mac users who have done extraordinary things with Mac technology – from building “smart homes” to uploading content from a base camp at Mount Everest

• A Town Hall Meeting, where top industry observers will present their views on the state of the market and discuss recent developments, including the latest news from the upcoming Apple Worldwide Developers Conference

• The WOW Iron Chef of Web Design Competition, a live competition featuring teams of three competing head-to-head — against the clock and against other teams — to design, code and deploy a working Web site for a non-profit institution

• The Dream Studios, an interactive exhibit designed and developed by the Berklee College of Music that will simulate state-of-the-art music studios based on the Mac
