IDC Promotes Traci Gere to Group Vice President
FRAMINGHAM, MA — NOVEMBER 1, 2000 — IDC, the world's foremost global market intelligence and advisory firm, today announced the promotion of Traci Gere to group vice president of U.S. Services research. Gere, whose services career spans 12 years, has been with IDC for 6 years.

During her career at IDC, Gere has spearheaded a number of innovative research efforts, including programs in Internet-related consulting services, customer relationship management, business process outsourcing, and network consulting and outsourcing. In addition, Gere conceived of and launched one of IDC's first Web-delivered database products.
Gere is quoted regularly in the trade and business press, has written numerous articles and reports for publication, and regularly delivers presentations at industry conferences and events around the world.
Prior to joining IDC, Gere conducted research on the impact of quality-focused management policies and practices on corporate performance. She also worked as a commercial lender and management consultant, providing analysis and strategic planning services to entrepreneurial businesses and linking business managers to technical assistance and capital. Gere earned a BA in international relations from Brown University and an MBA from Boston University.
