IDC Strengthens Research Capabilities With The Expansion of Analyst Team in Australia

NORTH SYDNEY, FEBRUARY 26, 2001 – To enhance its already vast coverage and in-depth analysis of the major market segments that characterise the Australian and Asia/Pacific IT and communications industries, IDC today announced the addition of four new analysts to its strong team of expert industry watchers.


Grace Lai

Ms. Lai becomes the regional software analyst for IDC Asia/Pacific’s Internet Software programme. Her role will be the examination of software technologies as they impact and are impacted by the Internet. This role reports to Puni Rajah, vice president, IDC Asia/Pacific based in Singapore.

Peter Lemon

Mr. Lemon joins Kathy Beckman and Merv Langby in IDC's Australian Professional Services research group. In his role as a Senior Analyst, Mr. Lemon will contribute to IDC's expanded coverage of the Australian Internet Services market.

Thomas Minarik

Mr. Minarik returns to Australia after spending three years with the IDC East Central European commercial system and server research practice in Prague. He will be responsible for the ANZ component of the IDC's Asia/Pacific server tracker programme, providing assessment of market dynamics, end-user trends, and operating system adoption.

Emilia Wasiak

Ms. Wasiak, previously a product manager at HP France, joins IDC Australia as a market analyst in the Communications arena. Ms. Wasiak will collaborate with IDC's research manager Joel Martin in the development of IDC's Australian Mobile and IP Communications market intelligence programme.
