IDG and Reed Extend Alliance To UK Channel Titles
BOSTON, May 11 — IDG and Reed Business Information, a division of Reed-Elsevier, today announced that Reed's newly acquired titles, focused on distribution channels for computer products, will join IDG's global network of channel-related titles including 18 channel publications in 17 countries worldwide.
The new Reed titles, all published in the UK, were acquired from Dennis Publishing, and include market leadersMicroscope, The VAR and Business and Technology.
According to Media Monitoring Service, the addition of these titles bring the market share of IDG's network of channel-related titles in Europe to 45%, compared to 15% for CMP and 11% for VNU.

"IDG is pleased to add these seven leading titles to its rapidly expanding global line of channel publications," said Kelly Conlin, president, IDG. "It extends IDG's leading presence in the global channel market and reconfirms our commitment to the important UK market."
