IDG Announces Winners of PC World’s Latin American Awards 2001
BOSTON, MA – OCTOBER 15, 2001 – International Data Group (IDG), the world's leading technology media company, today announced the winners of the third annual PC World Latin American Awards recognizing the best IT products and services in Latin America. The winners received their awards at a black-tie gala that brought together Latin America's most prominent IT industry leaders, held Friday, October 12 at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, Florida.
Winners were determined by a panel of twenty-two judges drawn from all eleven PC World Latin American editions in the region: Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Panama, Central America, Peru, Chile, Miami Region, Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
This year, 55 IT companies nominated more than 215 products and services in twenty categories ranging from desktop computers to e-business solutions. The winners of the PC World Latin American Awards 2001 including Product of the Year are:
