IDG Entertainment to Share Videogame Content with About.com; Co-branded site to feature videogame-related content from Games.net
OAKLAND, CA – MARCH 1, 2006 – IDG Entertainment (IDGE), the world's leading interactive entertainment-information provider, has entered a non-exclusive content sharing agreement with consumer information and advice Web site About.com. Under the agreement, IDGE will supply videogame-related content from its flagship gaming community site, Games.net, to a co-branded Web site hosted by IDG Entertainment at http://about.games.net/ .
"This relationship lets Games.net deliver our highly-respected content to the growing audience of casual gamers who are turning to About.com for information and advice," said Daniel Orum, publisher, president and CEO, IDGE. "We're happy that About.com chose to add Games.net to its already impressive content and resources."
The jointly-produced Web site will bear the Games.net and About.com logos, have the look and feel of About.com channel pages, and contain descriptions and product images of games that are currently available or soon will be available. Also included for each game will be the Entertainment Software Ratings Board rating, publisher name, pricing, screenshots, strategies, cheats, and FAQs, as well as aggregated reviews for the latest videogames on all major platforms from Games.net.

Each games page will also feature a resource box with links directing About.com visitors to original features and breaking videogame industry news on Games.net. Additionally, original About.com game reviews will be featured in aggregated reviews on Games.net.
