IDG Promotes Network World Inc.’s Evilee Thibeault To CEO

BOSTON, MA – JULY 12, 2000 – International Data Group (IDG), the world’s leading provider of IT media and information services, today announced that Evilee Thibeault has been appointed CEO, in addition to her responsibilities as publisher of Network World, Inc. In this role, Thibeault will continue to work with her team to deliver high quality network news and information, custom integrated product offerings, and evolve marketing and sales strategies through Network World’s print, online and event programs. Network World, the Leader in Network Knowledge, provides advertisers with the greatest access to the collective buying power of network leaders.

Thibeault has been with Network World since 1989, held the position of senior vice president and publisher since 1996, and was promoted to president and publisher in 1999. Thibeault will retain her role as publisher and continue to oversee all operations including circulation, production, marketing, advertising and sales. Under Thibeault’s leadership, Network World achieved record-breaking ad page growth in 1999 and 2000, extending the magazine’s nearly two-year industry leadership with the highest number of total ad pages and market share of all network publications.

Thibeault has nearly 20 years industry experience in high-tech publishing, marketing and research. As senior vice president/publisher of Network World, Thibeault developed the company's integrated sales strategy of print, online and event product offerings and frequently speaks at educational events about marketing and her role as publisher.

An authority on marketing, Thibeault served as advertising director for Motorola Corporation's high-speed modem division. She also held various positions at McGraw-Hill, CMP Media and Technology Solutions, a high-tech marketing agency. She is on the board of directors for BPA International and
