IDG ‘s Solutions Integrator Names National Advertising Director; Position Created To Support Sales Momentum
SAN MATEO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–April 20, 1999–Solutions Integrator magazine, the leading enterprise integration publication, today announced the appointment of Mark E. Taussig to the position of national ad director.
Taussig was promoted from western ad director at Solutions Integrator where he was responsible for managing the sales efforts for the west coast. As national advertising director, Taussig will now be responsible for sales on a national basis.

Taussig joined Solutions Integrator in August 1998 from Mecklermedia's Internet World where he was west coast associate publisher. Among his responsibilities at Internet World, Taussig reorganized the west coast sales effort and launched the publication's marketing events efforts. Prior to Mecklermedia, Taussig was director of advertising at Entertainment@Home and director of advertising at Quote.com. Prior to those positions, Taussig spent over six years at IDG with PC World and Multimedia World. At Multimedia World Taussig was associate publisher, where he helped refocus the magazine's marketing and sales efforts.
In his new role, Taussig will work with both the sales and marketing teams to develop unique and compelling programs for customers who want to reach enterprise integrators. "The enterprise market is increasingly turning to solutions integrators as partners in implementing complex IT solutions.
