IDG World Expo Announces Plans to Audit Events, Provide Additional Value For Exhibitors
FRAMINGHAM, MA – JULY 30, 2003 – IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets, today announced plans to engage in third-party attendance audits for its events, beginning with Macworld Conference & Expo in January 2004. This announcement is part of the company's new mission to provide additional value to its exhibitors, enhanced customer care and better communication with the communities served by its events.
Starting with its Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo in July 2003, IDG World Expo has provided exhibitors with audit-ready attendance figures and will continue to do so with LinuxWorld Conference & Expo in August and Portable Power Conference & Expo in September.
"Our customers are very discerning when it comes to industry event participation, and they expect to be able to measure their return on objective (ROO) as well as their return on investment (ROI). Joining IDG World Expo as group show director for Bio-ITWorld Conference & Expo and the BiometricsWorld Global Series of events is Jennifer LaFond, whose expertise comes from seven years in the tradeshow industry, including a tenure at Imark Communications.
Brooke Selby moves from director of public relations at IDG World Expo to group show director for COMNET Conference & Expo and Portable Power Conference & Expo. Selby is backed by 14 years of public relations and management experience, with two years at IDG World Expo. She has been participating in tradeshows for the past decade.
