IDG’s CXO Media Appoints Chris Mattoon to Director of Business Development

FRAMINGHAM, MA – February 2, 2005 – IDG's CXO Media Inc., publisher of CIO, CSO and CMO magazines, announces the appointment of Christopher Mattoon to director of business development of Executive Programs. Mattoon, a proven leader in the technology, conference and publishing industries, will focus on developing and managing key sponsor relationships for the company's conference division, dedicated to serving the information needs of chief information officers (CIOs), chief marketing officers (CMOs) and chief security officers (CSOs).

Mattoon is a proven leader in business development, with more than 15 years experience in publishing and information technology (IT) conferences. Most recently, Mattoon served as sales manager for Boston Globe's BostonWorks division, where he managed sales and marketing for an extensive lineup of print and online products, as well as sponsorships and special events. Prior to joining BostonWorks, Mattoon held several positions, including conference sponsorship sales director, at Key 3 Media Inc., the producer of IT trade shows and conferences including COMDEX. He was responsible for the managing relationships with the company's top accounts and a key contributor to a record-breaking revenue increase for COMDEX in 2000. Mattoon began his career in the publishing industry serving in account executive positions for Condo Management magazine, SuburbanWorld, Inc., Suburban Publishing Corporation and Buyer Advertising, Inc.
