IDG’s Frank Cutitta Appointed To The Board Of The International Advertising Association
BOSTON, MA – SEPTEMBER 7, 2000 – International Data Group (IDG), the world’s leading provider of IT media and information services, today announced IDG Senior Vice President Frank Cutitta was appointed to the Board of Directors of the International Advertising Association (IAA). In addition, Cutitta will serve as vice president and chairman of the Board’s newly formed Communications Committee. As the only global partnership of advertisers, agencies and representatives of the media, IAA promotes the critical role of advertising and protects commercial free speech.
Cutitta will work closely with other corporate members from the IAA’s five worldwide regions to develop the mission, objectives and top recruiting practices of the IAA’s new Communications Committee. An expert in both technology marketing and international communications issues, Cutitta has been with IDG for more than 14 years and is directly involved in IDG’s aggressive global expansion and strategic partnerships.
"With consumer privacy concerns quickly emerging as a critical issue in advertising and on the Web, the addition of accomplished business leaders like Cutitta and IDG strengthens our ability to address timely issues and protect the freedom of both commercial speech and consumer choice," said IAA World President David Hanger. "As vice president and chairman of the Communications Committee, Cutitta will play a crucial role in the proliferation of IAA’s worldwide communications objectives."
The IAA consists of more than 5,000 marketing communications professionals and corporate members from leading, multi-national companies in the advertising industry.
