IDG’s InfoWorld Appoints Steve Gillmor To Key Posts
SAN MATEO, CA – OCTOBER 15, 2001 – InfoWorld, the weekly magazine that delivers in-depth analysis of enterprise technology and strategies, today announced the appointment of Steve Gillmor to head InfoWorld’s Test Center. Gillmor will also be responsible for the "Ahead of the Curve" column – which will run on InfoWorld’s coveted back page. Gillmor’s first column will debut on October 22, 2001. Prior to joining InfoWorld, Steve held the positions of Editor in Chief and Editorial Director at Fawcette Technical Publishing for both XML Magazine and Java Pro Magazine.

Steve Gillmor has spent the last 16 years evaluating software. As a principal reviewer with Byte magazine, Gillmor covered beat area including Visual Basic, NT open systems, Lotus Notes and other collaborative software systems. After stints as a Contributing Editor with InformationWeek Labs and as Editor in Chief of Enterprise Development Magazine, he served in the role of Editor in Chief, and more recently, as Editorial Director for both XML and Java Pro Magazines.
