IDG’s Network World to Announce the Results of the First-Ever Head-To-Head Product Testing of Windows 2000, Red Hat Linux, Novell NetWare and SCO UnixWare

SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass.– 01/18/2000–Network World, the leader in network knowledge, announced today that it will publish the results of the first-ever head-to-head comparative qualitative and quantitative review between Microsoft Windows 2000, Red Hat Linux, Novell NetWare and SCO UnixWare in its January 24th issue. Details of the results will also be posted on Network World's website ( The testing of the current releases of each operating system was conducted by Centennial Networking Labs (CNL) of North Carolina State University, a Network World Enterprise Test Alliance Partner. CNL is a commercial lab dedicated to providing unbiased and technically sound testing services. The results of this product testing come just weeks before Microsoft's Windows 2000 official release, one of the most highly anticipated software releases in computer history.
