Industry Veterans George Jones and Bob Huseby Promoted to Lead Editorial and Business Departments at IDG Entertainment
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – October 23, 2007 – IDG Entertainment (IDGE), a leading interactive entertainment-information provider, announced that George Jones has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Creative Services & Editorial Director, and Bob Huseby has been promoted to Senior Vice President & Publisher. These promotions reflect IDG Entertainment’s efforts to grow its industry leading brands beyond the hardcore market and into the mass-gaming market.
In his new position Jones will direct all editorial and design for both existing products and new product launches. A technology media industry veteran with 12 years’ experience, he has held executive level editorial positions at CNET where he helped found the GameCenter, Ziff-Davis Publishing, Future Publishing, and has worked as a private games consultant for a variety of leading game publishers.
