International Data Group Online and Print Media Win Five Gold Awards for Excellence Presented by Folio Magazine

FRAMINGHAM, MA — September 28, 2007 — International Data Group (IDG), the world's leading technology media company, has been recognized for superior editorial and design with five gold, six silver, and one bronze award in the annual Folio competition. Network World won top honors for an editorial series in Technology/Computing/Telecom and Online Community, Computerworld took home a gold for a Full Issue in the Technology/Computing/Telecom category, Macworld earned the top honor for Best Single Article, and a gold went to PC World for a Full Issue in Consumer Technology/Computing.

The Eddie editorial awards and Ozzie design awards are based on how well publications fulfill their mission statements, the quality of their content and how the overall design and production supports their mission. A record of more than 3,000 entries was submitted in more than 100 categories.

–PC World: Gold for Full Issue Consumer Technology/Computing February 2007 and a silver for Single Article “The 10 Biggest Security Risks You Don’t Know About” in the August 2006 issue.

— InfoWorld: A silver for Best Cover design in BtoB for its April 2, 2007 issue, InfoWorld’s last print edition ending 27 years of publishing.

— CIO: A silver for Single Article “I.T. Versus Terror” in the August 1, 2006 issue.
