SOUTHBOROUGH, MA – AUGUST 15, 2006 – LinuxWorld.com, the open-source destination site for enterprise business decision-makers and implementers, announces the hiring of new Site Editor Don Marti.

Marti holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from New York University and served as Editor-in-Chief of Linux Journal from 2002-2005; Editor-in-Chief of the Embedded Linux Journal from 2001-2002; Technical Editor of the Linux Journal from 2000-2001; and Technical Marketing Manager for VA Linux Systems from 1999-2000.

A former Web developer and Webmaster, Marti has held diverse roles at Linux and open-source companies, including Electric Lichen, which he co-founded in 1998. Marti is a former vice president and president of the Silicon Valley Linux Users Group and organizer of the FreedomHEC conference on Linux device driver development.

Marti is busy creating new projects, partnerships and features for the site, as well as cultivating the open-source community through reader posts and his Weblog.
