Network World Takes Home A Silver Award From Folio: Magazine

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA – NOVEMBER 12, 2001 – Network World, the Leader in Network Knowledge, announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious Silver Ozzie award from Folio: magazine. The award went to Network World for its design of the annual gift guide feature called "Cool Yule Tools" in the November 27 issue.

 

Now in their 15th year, the Ozzie awards were given in recognition of excellence in magazine design in 14 categories covering the consumer, trade, association, and custom-publishing segments. Winners of the awards were announced at the 2001 Celebration of Excellence Folio: Show in New York City on Tuesday, October 30.

"The entire Network World art department is honored to be recognized by Folio for its achievements," said John Dix, editor in chief of Network World. "The team had a lot of fun with this project and they're thrilled to be rewarded for that effort."

The Folio awards cap a winning year for Network World. Earlier in the year, Network World was honored with three regional design awards from Print Magazine and an American Graphic Design award from Graphic Design USA. Technology Marketing Magazine named President and Editorial Director, John Gallant, one of the top 10 influential trade journalists and ranked the publication #16 in the "Top 50 Publications." In addition, Network World took home nine American Society of Business Press (ASBPE) awards, and Network World Fusion (http://www.nwfusion.com), its online companion, was rated the top high-tech Web site in Min Magazine's first annual review of "Publishing's Top People, Places & Things Online."
