Network World’s ‘Customer Access Group’ Focuses On Lead Generation, Analysis and Optimization

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA – SEPTEMBER 23, 2002 – Network World, the Leader in Network Knowledge, today announced the formation of the Customer Access Group, a new team dedicated to meeting the lead generation, analysis and optimization demands of today's high-tech marketing organizations. The Customer Access Group works closely with vendors to develop integrated marketing programs combining a diverse array of print, online and event resources to identify and precisely target prospective buyers, generate leads, analyze and optimize media programs and increase sales.

"Our customers need solutions that fill the sales pipeline and drive new business," said Evilee Thibeault, CEO and publisher, Network World. "We've brought together a group of highly talented individuals from sales, marketing, online and operations who are singularly focused on delivering powerful custom programs that deliver results."

Alonna Doucette, VP of online development, and Tom Davis, associate publisher eastern region, will head up the Customer Access Group. As general manager of the Customer Access Group, Davis will lead sales and customer consultation efforts, working with Shaun Budka who was named director of Customer Access programs. Budka will lead a sales team that includes Kate Zinn, Customer Access sales manager for the East Coast, and Kim Gaffrey, West Coast sales manager for Customer Access, working closely with the Network World's seasoned print, online and events sales teams. Doucette, as VP of the Customer Access Group, will oversee operations and analysis, working with Hillary Freeley, director of online development, to implement, track, enhance and report on custom programs for customers. This dedicated team brings over 50 years of publishing experience and knowledge that vendors can tap into to tailor unique and highly effective programs to maximize their marketing ROI.

Customer Access Management (CAM), the flagship product of the Customer Access Group, provides unique, powerful analytical and optimization capabilities. With CAM, a vendor can build a best-of-breed program of print, online and event traffic drivers that bring the most promising prospects to a carefully tailored microsite, where demographic and psychographic information is gathered. This information can be fed directly to a vendor's CRM system as pre-qualified leads based on pre-defined criteria, empowering the vendor to establish on-going methods of communicating with prospects to keep connections strong and leads hot. Campaign data is regularly analyzed and scrubbed to optimize marketing campaigns and target buyers with laser precision.

Vendors can also target buyers and generate leads by combining elements from a portfolio of proven, integrated media resources including advertorials, custom events, microsites, resource centers, Webcasts, keyword sponsorships, white papers, banners, e-mail newsletters, print advertising, direct marketing and much more. These integrated marketing solutions are designed to zero in on and engage a community of targeted technology buyers, incite action and generate vendor leads. The Customer Access Group is also responsible for developing new partnerships and innovative programs that allow vendors to reach and effectively communicate with this targeted audience of Network IT strategist, builders and buyers.

Network World's Customer Access Group is one part of an overall IDG corporate initiative to provide the vendor community with outstanding lead generation opportunities.
