New Publisher At IDG’s InfoWorld Media Group

SAN MATEO, CA – NOVEMBER 27, 2001 – InfoWorld Media Group, the provider of in-depth analysis of enterprise technology and strategies through its integrated online, print, research and events channels, today announced Thomas C. Rousseau has been named Executive Vice President and Publisher. Rousseau will be responsible for all sales, marketing and research operations at the information services company, which is a business unit of International Data Group.

 

Rousseau is returning to IDG after 11 years in key positions at other IT publishing companies. His appointment is effective December 3, 2001. "Tom has 18 years of experience in advertising and high tech publishing and we are extremely fortunate to have him contributing to InfoWorld's success in the critical role as publisher," said Robert G. Magnuson InfoWorld's President and CEO. "His experience, expertise and management talent will be invaluable as InfoWorld moves forward with its vision to be the No. 1 information services company reporting on trends and evaluating IT products for technology experts driving large-scale purchases for their organizations."

For the past nine years Rousseau served in a number of senior positions at CMP Media, most recently as Senior Vice President in the Business Technology Group, which consisted of Information Week, Internet Week, Network Computing and Optimize Magazine. He was also vice president of Global Accounts with both U.S. and international responsibilities and prior to that, Managing director of U.S. National Accounts. Rousseau also held sales management positions at Ziff Davis Publishing's PC Computing and ComputerLife, and at Cahners Publishing. Previously at IDG, Rousseau held a number of sales and management positions and was Publisher of PC Resource magazine.

Rousseau holds a BA in Marketing & Management from Northwood University in Midland, MI., and an MBA in Science of Management from Lewis University in Chicago. He is married and has two sons.
