New Study Uncovers Key Segments Of Business Technology Buyers
NEW YORK and BOSTON, September 9, 1998 — IntelliQuest Information Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: IQST) today announced that it will unveil the results of an unprecedented study of technology buyers in bi-coastal events on September 17. The study, entitled: "The Technology Buyers: A Study of Business Buyer Segmentation, Purchase Process and Information Sources," was underwritten by Ziff-Davis (NYSE: ZD) and International Data Group (IDG).
The study identifies:
The five key segments of business influencers;
The role each segment plays at each step of the typical purchase process for PCs, printers, software suites and networking products;
The information sources used for each step of the purchase process andhow critical each of these information sources is to each of the five segments.

IntelliQuest interviewed more than 2,200 individuals representative of the 25.8 million business influencers in the U.S. who are personally involved in the purchase of computer-related products. Names were drawn from IntelliQuest's Computer Industry Media Study (CIMS) v4.0 Business Influencer database.
