Online Survey Now Available for National Underwriter’s Tech Decisions and Financial Insights 2009 Insurer’s Choice Technology Ranking for 2009
FRAMINGHAM, MA & ERLANGER, KY – September 24, 2008 – Tech Decisions, a National Underwriter Company publication for carriers, and Financial Insights, an IDC company and an independent research and consulting firm specializing in financial services, announced that the second annual Insurer’s Choice technology ranking is underway and available for participation through November 15, 2008 at www.financial-insights.com/insurerschoice
Insurance carriers responding to the survey will determine the rankings, which will be announced in May 2009 at the annual ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum May 17, 2009, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Financial Insights is driving the survey methodology, data collection, and analysis process for the rankings.
Decided by insurance companies in the United States and Canada, the annual ranking showcases insurance technology providers across several categories, including: insurance operations, developing products, optimizing workflow, and analytics. The results include both the life and health (L&H) insurance market, as well as the property and casualty (P&C) market. New for Insurer’s Choice 2009 will be a satisfaction ranking for the technology firms in each category. The results will also reflect which technology firms are the top "up-and-coming" technology providers to the insurance marketplace as perceived by the carriers themselves.
“We are very pleased to announce our continued partnership with Financial Insights, a trusted advisor in the insurance industry with significant experience in providing technology ranking reports for the financial services community,” said Jim Daggett, publisher, Tech Decisions. “The 2009 Insurer’s Choice survey is again driven by data provided from P&C and L&H insurance carriers in North America and certainly provides a comprehensive and valuable resource for Tech Decisions’ readers.”
“This technology ranking is unique within the insurance industry as it effectively reports on the views of the carriers themselves, showcasing the best-of-breed technology providers and the insurer’s level of satisfaction with these providers to the entire industry,” said Barry Rabkin, senior research analyst for Financial Insights’ Insurance practice. “This joint effort provides a robust list of reputable, innovative, sound technology leaders that insurance carriers can use as a valuable guide for evaluating future vendor selections.”
