PC World Promotes Mark Barreca to Associate Publisher/National Director; Kathy McKay Now Associate Publisher/Integrated Sales & Custom Publishing ; Barreca to Spearhead Online Sales Efforts; McKay to Oversee Integrated Sales for PC World
SAN FRANCISCO – JULY 25, 2007 – PC World, winner of the 2007 Maggie Awards for Best Computer Magazine and Best Website, announced the promotion of Mark Barreca to Associate Publisher/National Director and Kathy McKay to Associate Publisher/Integrated Sales & Custom Publishing. Formerly Senior Account Manager/PCWorld.com, Barreca will now lead the online sales team. As part of his new role, he recently hired two inside online account executives to help grow new business. He will also work closely with Advertising Operations to ensure PCWorld.com will continue to bring innovative marketing programs to clients. McKay moves up from Associate Publisher/East to a national role. In her new position, she will manage and coach four integrated account directors, oversee print including custom publishing, and manage integrated sales for the Midwest territory.
Barreca has over nine years of online sales experience and an extensive background in integrated print/online sales. He joined PCWorld.com in 2003 as an Account Manager, and was promoted to Senior Account Manager in 2005. He has exceeded his sales quota every year including a 30% increase last year, and helped land several new accounts including Circuit City, Duracell, Kodak, Lenovo, and Samsung. Prior to joining PC World, Barreca worked with McGraw-Hill's Construction Information Group, DoubleClick, Weather.com, and OSTG. A New Jersey native, he resides in Oceanport, NJ with his wife and three children.
McKay’s PC World career began in 1996 where she served as Senior Account Manager before being promoted to Associate Publisher/East in October 2006. Prior to joining PC World, she worked as National Sales Director for Newspaper National Network and as Associate Advertising Director for Gannett’s USA Weekend.
