Rick LePage to be Named VP of Content/Editor in Chief of Macworld

SAN FRANCISCO – JULY 9, 2001- Colin Crawford, President and CEO of Mac Publishing, L.L.C., today announced the appointment of Rick LePage to VP of Content/Editor in Chief for the flagship publication and Web site, Macworld.


"Rick LePage is a highly-respected veteran of the Macintosh industry and has all the qualifications to step in as the head of Macworld's editorial team,"

stated Crawford. "Rick's leadership will help drive Macworld through the industry's transition to Mac OS X."

Rick LePage has been a journalist since graduating from Suffolk University in 1981, and has held editorial positions with Computerworld and MacInTouch

as well as with MacWEEK, where he rose to Editor in Chief in 1996 and to Publisher in 1998. In 1999 he left the publication, then named eMediaweekly, initially to return to MacInTouch, and later to be General Manager for Creativepro.com, working to build an editorial-driven portal site for creative professionals.
