Triangle Publishing Services Co., CXO Media Share APEX Awards Honors
NEWTON, MA – OCTOBER 3, 2000 -Triangle Publishing Services Co. (TPSC), a leading provider of editorial, circulation and sales/marketing support, and CXO Media Inc., publisher of CIO and Darwin magazines, were recently named winners of the Annual Awards for Publication Excellence
(APEX). The APEX Awards are sponsored by Communications Concepts Inc.
The collaboration of Triangle, CXO Media's Custom Publishing staff and Ken Silvia Design won the design and layout Award of Excellence for the Winter 2000 issue of eDirections magazine (a custom publication produced for Microsoft Corp.) Triangle and CXO's Custom Publishing staff also received an additional award for the Microsoft Enterprise Web site.

Communications Concepts Inc., which sponsors the annual APEX awards, helps writers, editors and managers improve their publications through a monthly newsletter called Writing That Works, APEX is a competition that offers recognition for outstanding publications from newsletters and magazines to annual reports, brochures and Web sites.
Nearly 5,000 entries were submitted for this year's awards. Awards are given in 96 communications categories within 11 main categories, including newsletters; magazines and journals; magapapers and newspapers; annual reports; brochures, manuals and reports; video and multimedia; Web and intranet sites; campaigns, programs and plans; writing; design and illustration; and special publications. A total of 66 APEX Grand Awards were presented in the 11 major categories to honor outstanding works. There were 1,274 APEX Awards of Excellence given to recognize excellence in the individual communications categories.
