"The surge in demand will continue to kick vendors into high gear to tailor offerings to different types of interactions, and to convert more audio conferencing customers to integrated conferencing applications customers. The result will be more streamlined, easy-to-use applications for customers and faster growth for vendors."

Conferencing vendors who provide better integration with other collaborative and business applications and present business-critical uses for these applications will have the most success in minimizing the threat from potential market substitutes. Additionally, vendors who develop new strategies to extend conferencing deeper into existing accounts and user populations will be able to gain the most market share.
